Connection shouldn't depend on a data bundle.

Hi, I'm Anorld. I build things in Kampala, and I kept noticing the same moment: a room full of people, every one of them holding a phone, and still nobody able to call, share or play anything — because the bundle ran out, the network went down, or the Wi‑Fi had no internet.

Phones sitting a few metres apart shouldn't need a tower or a server to talk to each other. So I built Hopwave: free calls, walkie talkie, file sharing and live audio and video that travel straight from phone to phone. A hostel, a campsite, a church hall or a party becomes its own little network, and your conversations stay between the people in it.

Hopwave is early. It works on the phones I could test, but every phone, router and hotspot behaves a little differently.
